About Us

DEVNET INTERNATIONAL is an international, not-for-profit, non-governmental association that works to create, promote and support partnerships and exchanges among civil society organisations, local authorities and entrepreneurs throughout the world in support of economic development, social equity, ecological sustainability, gender equality, natural disaster resilience and peace.

DEVNET INTERNATIONAL enjoys Consultative Status (Category 1) with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), granted through ECOSOC Resolution 1296 (XLIV) in 1995.

The members of the DEVNET Association elect a Board of Directors which, in turn, elects a Chair and an Executive Director, in addition to a Secretary and a Treasurer. The Board of Directors is accountable to the membership of the Association through a General Assembly.

The current Chair and CEO of the DEVNET International Association is Mr Fumiyasu Akegawa.
